This tab has only one field on it, a text box of effectively infinite length.

You can use the button <Select from Keywords List> to drop pre-defined text strings called Keywords into the Notes field. These are explained in a section called Keywords.
You can update Keywords globally i.e. add one or more Keywords to all the Items in a Selection.
You can search for Keywords either in the Query Wizard or in the dedicated Keywords Query screen. These look for a match between the selected entry in the Keywords List and the text in the Notes field.
The Notes field can also be used for your own keywords or for free-form text. This can be mixed with entries picked from the Keywords List to form a repository of searchable data of anything you want to record about an Item which is not catered for in the dedicated fields.
You can search for words and phrases within this field by clicking in it in View (not Edit) mode and taking the <Find> menu option or pressing <Ctrl-F>. There is a Manual section on this Find Text facility.
See Tabs - Introduction for a guide to the Item Card as a whole.
