Tabs - Introduction

Main shows the primary Disclosure information. The Item Description is concatenated with the names of Senders and Recipients (from the Names Tab) to make the Full Description.

The Date can be entered with either two or four digits for the year and will expand to a four-digit number. The Date is displayed in the format dd/mmm/yyyy eg 26 Feb 1993.

ShowDate is used where a full date cannot be used – eg for Documents which are undated or imprecise, such as “March 96”. The built-in Standard Reports will then use the date (if any) in the Date field to dictate the sequence in a date-order Report, but will display the ShowDate.

The User Order No is used where there are several Items of the same Date – a number entered here will force say an exchange of faxes into their proper sequence. It is also an Index Order in its own right - if you want Items to appear in a sequence of your own choosing, independently of the contents of any other field, you can enter numbers in this field reflecting your chosen sequence.

Pages is the number of pages in the Document.

The check boxes

In list, Privileged and Review differ from others in that they can be used without going into Edit Mode first and without pressing <Save> afterwards. It is therefore a single-click operation to mark or unmark them.
