Bundle Image Sets

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

A Bundle is the product of a search - a list of Item Numbers in a particular order - which is stored and given a name.

An Image Set is a collection of images which are stored and given a name.

A Bundle Image Set is a combination of these things - a set of Items linked to the collection of images which belong to them.

A practical example of the use of this is a Disclosure Bundle which is the list of Items, often in Date order, which results from refining the total image population and tagging the ones to be disclosed, usually by ticking the In List box. The result of this exercise is saved as a Bundle and an Image Set can be assigned to it. This might be a redacted set (i.e. where some of the images have been sealed up in part) rather than the default set.

Read how to Assign an Image Set to a Bundle when there is already an existing Image Set which you want to use.

If you do not already have an Image Set containing the images which you wish to link to a Bundle, then read how to Copy Bundle Images.

This will pick out the images which belong to the Items in a Bundle and copy them to a new Image Set. An option allows you to copy the required images to any location and, optionally, to rename them. This has the added refinement that you can rename the images to correspond with your List Numbers, thus concealing from your opponents how big your original image population was.

Tip

Note that there is more than one way of providing other parties with the corresponding data – you can use Exporter to make a copy of a Case or a sub-set of a Case, or create an Excel spreadsheet by using the Additional Reports or create a new Openlaw Case comprising only the data usually found in a Disclosure list.
