Other Image Functions on the Image Menu
An Image Set is a group of images defined by a location (i.e. a drive and directory path) and a user alias (a name which is meaningful to users, such as "Annotated Images"). This section explains how to define an Image Set.
The relevant options are found on the Control Panel Data menu and require exclusive use of the Case.
There are other Image-related functions taken from the Image Menu and this page provides links to Manual sections about them.
Defining an Image Set
This exercise assumes that you need an Image Set for redacted images called C:\Openlaw\MyCase\Redacted.
From the Data Menu, take <Images> and then <Add/Edit/Delete Image Sets>

In the screen which appears either use one of the existing Image Set names, or press <Add>. Enter an Alias (that is, the name by which the user will identify the Image Set, such as “Redacted”). Press <Save>.

Be aware that this step merely defines a name to use when referring to a set of images. You must now set up one or more locations (paths or folders) for this Image Set, then tell Item Cards to look in that location for their images. This is covered in Assigning Images Sets to a Selection.
Editing an Image Set
You can change both the Image Set Name and the Image Set Path. You must have Exclusive Use to do this.
Use the arrows at the bottom to find the Image Set to be edited. Make your changes and press <Save>. See below to edit the Location.
A message warns you to consider whether the change will affect other users. Bear in mind that Image Sets are a means by which Item Cards find images. Changing the name of the Image Set does not affect its relationship with Bundles but changing the directory path does. This should only be done if, for example, you have moved the collection of images to another place and wish to re-link the Image Set to it.
Deleting an Image Set
Image Sets can be deleted. You must have Exclusive Use to do this. Use the arrows at the bottom to find the Image Set to be deleted. You cannot delete an Image Set which has a location which is used by any Bundle or Item Card.
Deleting an Image Set does not delete any images - just the name you have given to that set of images at that location
Image Set Locations

This screen is for adding, editing or deleting Image Set Locations. Each location is tied to an Image Set (which must be set up first).
If you are adding, use the Add button, then use the Image Set button to select the Image Set this location belongs to, then Type in a name for the location, then use the Browse button to navigate to the chosen location. This location must exist before you seek to add it as an Image Set Path Location.
if you are editing an existing Location you may edit the name and/or the location folder.
Other Image Functions on the Image Menu
This function sets or sums the total of image pages in a Selection, that is, it counts the number of pages in each .tiff image and stores that information in the Item Card, or counts the total of pages already stored in the Item Cards. There is a Manual section called Set or Sum Tiff Page Counts.
This function checks .tiff images in a Selection for unburnt annotations and marks an Item Card if any annotations are found. This is described in a Manual section called Annotating Images under the heading Finding Annotated Images
