The Menu across the top of the Control Panel has the following four options

Case Menu
The Case Menu contains options which relate to the whole Case rather than to a Selection from the Case.
Backup A means of making a copy of key files without leaving Openlaw CompactA tool for reducing the size of databases and making indexes more efficient Exclusive Use Allows a user to ensure that no-one else is logged in, required for the use of certain functions Settings are aspects of the Case which, once set by a user or Administrator, become available either just to that user or to all users |
Data Menu

The Data Menu has options which allow you to alter data in a way which potentially affects several Items at once. Names The central repository of the lists of Individuals, Organisations and Stored Names. Allocate Functions to add coding to blocks of Items in bulk instead of one Item at a time Find and Replace Tools to find contents of fields and update them to something else. Images The setup and control of Image Sets, their assignment to Selections, and other image related functions Import and Export of text files into and out of Items Text A tool to update the field used by the Allfields and Text Box Query |
Query Menu
The Query Menu has several Query types which allow you to make Selections. The one you last picked becomes the default Query. |
Help Menu

The Help Menu gives access to this Help file and to various Information Log Files created by different processes |
