Openlaw Litigation Features (1)

Specialist Tools for Specialist Functions

Openlaw has many functions designed to meet the everyday issues faced in handling documents for disputes.

The screen shot extracts below illustrate some of these features:

In List / Privileged

You may have intended to mark a document as being both In List and Privileged (see opposite), but Openlaw will double-check for you.

If you are about to save or use a Bundle with a mixed population of privileged and unprivileged documents, Openlaw will prompt you to check (see below).

Mixed File Types

Your client’s documents already exist in electronic form. View and print them in their original format.

Attachments

Link one document to any other(s). Click on the link to jump to the Attachment, and show the links in your List of Documents

Text Box: The wording as it will appear in the printed list is made up from the Item description e.g. ‘Letter’, ‘from’ the name(s) entered in the Senders box and ‘to’ the names entered in the Recipients box, plus a date.  The list numbering is automatic.  This is often all you need for Disclosure, but if you want to add more information you can.

Disclosure List Report

Here is a List Report showing attachments indented (with their list numbers)

Openlaw will earn its keep on small dispute resolution matters which do not run beyond Disclosure, whilst having all the functions required for more detailed or larger-scale forensic cases
